The Times-Picayune is seeking nominations for the 2024 edition of its Top Workplaces program, which honors New Orleans metro area businesses for their culture and employee job satisfaction.
Companies with 35 or more employees are eligible and will compete in categories for small, mid-size and large businesses.
The deadline to nominate a business is Dec. 8.
Workplaces are evaluated by an employee survey conducted by Energage, a Philadelphia-based research and consulting firm. Awards are based on how workers respond to the surveys and the feedback they provide on company culture, growth opportunities and commitment to their communities.
Public companies, private businesses, nonprofit organizations and government agencies can all participate. To be eligible, they must be located in Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. John the Baptist or St. Tammany parishes. Schools can participate as well.
Energage conducts its surveys across 64 markets. Over the past year, it has surveyed more than 2 million employees at 8,000 organizations.
Last year, 80 employers in the New Orleans area were featured as Top Workplaces, including Laitram, which came in first among large companies, Impetus, which took top honors among mid-sized companies, and LAMMICO, which scored highest in the small company division.
More than 30,000 employees were surveyed as part of the 2023 Top Workplaces program.
To nominate an employer, go to https://www.nola.com/topworkplaces/ or call (504) 708-5384. It is free to participate.
