Stephany Folsom has a new home at UTA.
The writer, producer and showrunner has signed with the agency for representation in all areas. Folsom is perhaps best known as the creator, executive producer and showrunner on the series Paper Girls for Amazon and Prime Video. The young adult series follows four friends with paper routes who have their lives disrupted on Hell Day 1988 when they unknowingly time travel to 2019. It stars Camryn Jones, Riley Lai Nelet, Sofia Rosinsky, Fina Strazza, Adina Porter, Ali Wong, Nate Corddry and Jason Mantzoukas.
Folsom has had other business with Amazon as a consulting producer and writer on the blockbuster series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Her other credits include writing the fourth installment of the Pixar franchise Toy Story, Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok and the Disney XD series Star Wars Resistance. She’s also written a live-action TV adaptation of King Kong for Disney+.
She’s been honored with a Hollywood Critics Association Award for best adapted screenplay for Toy Story 4, and received nominations for an Annie Award, a Humanitas Prize and an International Online Cinema Award for her work on the same film.
Folsom will continue to be represented by Kaplan Perrone Entertainment and the law firm of Yorn, Levine, Barnes, Krintzman, Rubenstein, Kohner, Endlich & Gellman.
