The kids are making milkshake and spilling some tea. The cast of Netflix’s upcoming musical feature The Archies, including Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda, assembled for a funny video where they are seen taking the milkshake challenge.
The Archies marks the acting debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana, megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya and actor Sridevi and film producer Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi.
The video features Suhana, Agastya, Khushi and other debutants Mihir Ahuja, Dot., Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda. The Archies cast members are split in pairs, with each having to make milkshake for the other.
The trick is to use ingredients in the jars placed in front of them– which have different labels like ‘moody’, ‘witty’, ‘charming’ etc. Agastya, who is paired with Suhana, goes first and lifts a jar. “I think Suhana is a big gossip queen. You cannot tell her any secret,” he says.
Suhana then picks the jar of ‘witty’ for Agastya and says, “I think you are quite witty.” Agastya, however, calls Suhana the “least” funny person he has met. “You always laugh at everything I say!” Suhana tells him, who brushes it off and adds, “I have known you the longest, and I can confirm that you are the least funny.” To which Suhana says, Ya but funny and witty is different also,” leaving Agastya puzzled.
Suhana picks the jar which says ‘moody’, making Agastya say, “What did you skip charming? Charming was in between! Pass it when you are done, because you are the most moody person.”
Towards the end of the video, Agastya picks the jar of ‘lazy’ for Suhana and says he is putting “quite a few spoons” of it. “Am I lazying today? Have I been lazy? I have been on it!” Suhana exclaims.
The Indian adaptation of the beloved classic is seen through the lens of the Anglo-Indian community as the group of teenagers wrestle with love, heartache, friendship and rebellion. The Archies trailer offers a glimpse into the world of the film, set in the fictional hilly town of Riverdale, in the ’60s India.
The Archies is directed by Zoya, who has co-written it with Reema and Ayesha Devitre. The film will stream on Netflix from December 7.
