Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, starring Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Saigal and Yuvraj Menda was finally released on Netflix on December 7. Ahead of the release, the makers arranged a grand premiere which was attended by the who’s who of Bollywood. Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Ranveer Singh among others graced the event.
After watching the film, celebrities shared their views about the film. Abhishek took a trip down memory lane after watching the film and said, “It took us back in time. You know we all grew up reading Archies. We were transported back to our youth.” Aishwarya also congratulated the team and said, “It was wonderful and huge congratulations to the entire team.” Jaya Bachchan, Navya Naveli Nanda, Shweta Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan were also present at the screening to support Agastya.
Netflix shared the video and wrote, “Sunoh, first reactions are INNN!!! Our favorite stars being starry-eyed after the The Archies premiere last night.”

Hrithik Roshan, who graced the event with Saba Azad, said, “So good yaar. Such sweetness, the vulnerability and the honesty, the music, the dance, I was dancing. I loved it.” Katrina was all hearts for Zoya and said, “I think we are all the biggest Zoya Akhtar fans. She is such a versatile director. Everything she touches is gold.” Bhumi Pednekar also praised Zoya and said, “Va va voom, it was such fun, such a beautiful world. Only Zoya could do it.”
Karan Johar praised the entire cast and said, “It’s everything we wanted to see out of Zoya Akhtar film, and the seven kids are fantastic. Each and every one of them has given brilliant performance.”
