After a lukewarm opening on Thursday, Dunki‘s earnings at the box office on the second day slid down even further. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer earned Rs 20.50 crore on Friday. This takes the film’s nett domestic collection to Rs 49.7 crore.
The film’s two day collections in India are much lesser than the opening day figures of SRK’s previous two releases, Pathaan and Jawan. Pathaan opened with Rs 57 crore nett and Jawaan made Rs 75 crore on opening day. Dunki is Shah Rukh’s third release this year.
The huge dip in Dunki’s performance can also be attributed to the release of Prabhas’ Salaar. The Prashanth Neel directorial, on Friday, made the biggest ever opening as it minted Rs 95 crore in India.
