Let’s begin with our top story, actors Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani are all set to tie the knot at a beach wedding at ITC Goa. They have opted for an eco-friendly wedding. While the couple and the guests were seen flying to Goa over the weekend, now the first pictures from the venue have surfaced online. Several fan pages have shared two pictures from Rakul and Jackky’s wedding venue. One picture is of a signboard decorated with flowers. It reads, ‘Bhagnani and Singh family welcome you.’ Another picture is of a coconut with RJ printed on it. The couple will also reportedly host a grand reception at the NMACC in Mumbai soon after they return from Goa.
In a recent interview with News18, Raveena Tandon disclosed that her daughter, Rasha Thadani, finds her Instagram content cringeworthy. Raveena said, “I’m such a dud when it comes to Instagram and I don’t know anything about it. When my team tells me to post reels, I choose a funny one. I’m an actor and not an influencer. But Rasha always tells me, ‘Mumma, you cannot be making these reels, it’s cringe!’ But I love it.” Raveena was last seen in the web series Karmma Calling and has exciting projects like Binoy Gandhi’s Ghudchadi and the multi-starrer Welcome To The Jungle in her pipeline.
A viral clip from the Filmfare Awards captured Ranbir Kapoor seemingly snubbing, Karan Johar and Ayushmann Khurrana, who were hosting the award show. In the clip, Karan approached Ranbir for help and said, ‘Only Ranbir can do it, Ranbir will do it, Ranbir should do it; Ranbir must help us,’ directly addressing the actor. An irritated Ranbir interrupted him, saying, “I can listen, I am not deaf.” While Ranbir’s reaction appeared to convey annoyance, it was evident that this exchange was part of a scripted act orchestrated by the trio during the award night. At the Filmfare Awards, Ranbir bagged the Best Actor trophy for Animal. Ranbir will be seen portraying Lord Rama in the screen adaptation of Ramayan.
Moving on, Filmmaker Kiran Rao has shared her thoughts on being primarily recognised as Aamir Khan’s wife despite her accomplishments. In an interview with SoSouth, Kiran said, “So honestly it doesn’t bother me. I do have to say at airports or any public place when people come to me and say, ‘You are…’ and they expect me to complete it and say, ‘I am Kiran Rao, Aamir Khan’s wife.’ I mean ex-wife.” While Rao admitted to feeling emotionally connected to Aamir Khan’s journey, she clarified that this connection doesn’t necessarily burden her. Aamir and Kiran announced their divorce in 2021, after almost 15 years of marriage. They continue to co-parent their son Azad Rao.
Next up, the much-anticipated teaser for Sidharth Malhotra’s upcoming film, Yodha, was released on Monday, February 19th. Yodha teaser kicks off with the customary flight announcement, urging passengers to securely fasten their seat belts due to an impending storm on the horizon. The movie features the actor in the role of a commando tasked with the daunting mission of rescuing a hijacked Air India flight. Directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, the action-packed teaser of the film promises an adrenaline-fueled experience. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Shashank Khaitan’s Mentor Disciple Films, Yodha has witnessed several release date changes over the past year, originally slated for July 7, then September 15, and later December 8.
Actor Esha Deol appeared in public for the first time after confirming her divorce from her husband Bharat Takhtani on February 6. Esha was seen at the Mumbai airport as she was seen heading out of the city. While she kept a low profile, she responded to the question of a paparazzo asking about her well-being. She responded by waving and saying, “I am fine.” Reports had earlier suggested that Esha and Bharat’s divorce was ‘brewing’ for a while. Speculation had begun after Bharat skipped Hema Malini’s 75th birthday party in October last year. He was also missing from Esha’s birthday celebrations in November.
In a recent interview with Samdish, Vikrant Massey spoke about how he often comes across unprofessional, insincere actors who focus on making reels on set instead of concentrating on the job. He said, “We see it very often. Some actors come on set and their first priority is to make reels. I won’t drop their name but that person knows and that person got to know about it there and then so my purpose was solved at that time.” Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, 12th Fail received widespread acclaim and went on to sweep five awards at the 69th Filmfare Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actor (Critics) for Massey.
Lastly, Actor Emraan Hashmi is busy promoting his upcoming show Showtime. In a chat with ANI about Showtime, he said, “The trailer gives people an idea of the world we have created of contemporary Bollywood and this web series will reveal a lot about our industry.” In the trailer, Emraan is seen playing the role of an influential film producer. The reporter, played by Mahima Makwana, can be heard discussing topics like nepotism on television. Directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, Showtime is an epic saga of legacy and ambition in the world of cinema, which will give the audience a sneak peek into what goes behind the multi-million-dollar industry of Bollywood, nepotism and the power struggles at the top.
