Let’s begin with our top story, Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan are collaborating on the film “Laapataa Ladies,” set for a March release after screening at TIFF. On News18 India Chaupal, when the ex-couple was asked about getting back together professionally, Aamir shared, “Has a doctor said that when a divorce happens, you immediately become enemies? I feel that I got lucky because Kiran came into my life. Our journey was very fulfilling and we made a lot of things together–personally and professionally. We are connected on a human and emotional level, and we will always be. We are like a family..”
Actor Juhi Chawla recently graced an episode of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11. During the recent episode, Juhi shared anecdotes about the yesteryears. Farah Khan, one of the judges of the show asked Juhi about the cheapest gift she has received from any celebrity. Juhi candidly said, “You want me to say the name? It was Aamir Khan. This was when we had just become stars. It was my birthday and Aamir called and said he would come home. He came home to wish me and everyone in my house was excited. He sat and removed a small chocolate for me and said that is my gift.”
PM Narendra Modi gracefully congratulated Indian Grammy winners, including Rakesh Chaurasia and Shankar Mahadevan, on X (formerly Twitter), on Monday, February 5th. Moving on, renowned actor-singer Sushant Divgikr, widely recognized as Rani Ko-HE-nur, posted photos with their partner on their Instagram account. Divgikr did not reveal his identity, but asked their fans ‘Alexa , what do you call JIJU in Bengali ?’ further fueling marriage speculation. They wrote in the caption, “Alexa , what do you call JIJU in Bengali ? Asking for #ranifam !!! reveal when ? Also in Marathi / konkani – we call Jiju – BHAUJI / BHAAIYA ! What do you call Jiju in YOUR language? But like I mean !!! She’s been breaking stereotypes, barriers , glass ceilings so why not the Internet !??? Btw some more pics of Jiju and me are on the way. Filmmaker Atlee took to Instagram on Monday, February 5th, to unveil the first look of Baby John, the Hindi remake of his Tamil film Theri, starring Varun Dhawan. The promotional video showcases Varun seated on a throne similar to the iconic American TV series Game of Thrones, surrounded by dancers. In a chat with indianexpress.com, Atlee shared, “Shah Rukh sir inspired me, not just as an actor, but also as a producer. I have learnt the craft from spending four years with him. Now, I have started producing films here (Bollywood). I already produced a couple of films in the south, and now I have started producing all over — producing two in Tamil, two in Telugu, two in Hindi.”
Next up, on Sunday night, February 4th, actor Sonam Kapoor attended the wedding reception of her good friend and celebrity photographer Apeksha Maker and Acash Awchat. The celebration took place in Mumbai and Sonam was seen dressed in a red Bandhani saree. The Gujarati look that Sonam carried is getting a lot of love from fans. The photos and videos of Sonam have been shared on paparazzi accounts and many have shared their views on Sonam’s desi look. A fan wrote, “She is looking damn beautiful,” while another posted, “Yr ye kitni awesome he.” An Instagram user wrote, “Pure Elegance!!” Another fan wrote, “Dulhan wali feeling sonam Kapoor.”
Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who turned 48 on Monday, February 5th, said his 12-year-old daughter is the star of the family, raised wonderfully by his actor wife Aishwarya Rai. In a chat with Times Now, Abhishek said, “it is for Aaradhya that the day becomes special… I like to spend my birthday with my family if I can. But it wouldn’t be a happy birthday for me if I’m not working.” Abhishek Bachchan recalled that the most memorable birthday for him was not his own but his actor father Amitabh Bachchan’s 60th birthday. He said it was a special day as his actor mother Jaya Bachchan’s book on the megastar was released and it became a “momentous” occasion.
Lastly, Deepika Padukone made her Hindi film debut with Om Shanti Om opposite Shah Rukh Khan. In a chat with Atika Farooqui, she said, “Shah Rukh Khan was the first person to tell me, amongst all of the wisdom that he was sharing with me. He said, ‘Baby, always remember to work with people you know you’re going to have a good time with, where you know you’re going to enjoy yourself.’ Anyone who knows Shah Rukh knows that he’s full of wisdom, and for me, that was a huge learning. Every day, you know something about something or the other, I’d keep learning. But this one thing really stayed with me.” Deepika was last seen in Fighter opposite Hrithik Roshan.
