Bollywood Updates: Shah Rukh Khan reveals Dunki posters, Tiger 3 promises to be a massive action film, Zeenat Aman to make a Hindi film comeback with Bun Tikki, and more.

In our top story. Shah Rukh Khan has unveiled two new posters from the upcoming film Dunki. The first poster shows SRK confidently walking towards the camera, accompanied by Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover, all dressed formally and holding files, suggesting they are headed for an interview. The second poster depicts the same group navigating a rough terrain in an isolated area. While the others appear exhausted, SRK gazes in one direction. SRK plays a man named Hardy in Dunki, who desperately wants to move to London along with his buddies. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial marks SRK’s third release this year, after two blockbusters, Pathaan and Jawan. Dunki will hit the screens on December 21.
Moving on. Director Maneesh Sharma’s Tiger 3, is expected to be one of the biggest action extravaganzas Indian cinema has ever seen. Headlined by Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, Tiger 3 follows the events of Tiger Zinda Hai, War and Pathaan. Tiger 3 is part of the YRF Spy universe, bankrolled by Aditya Chopra, and boasts a stellar cast including Emraan Hashmi, Revathi and Vishal Jethwa. A recent report has revealed that both Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan will be making guest appearances in the film. Variety quoted an industry source as saying – “Aditya Chopra has set the wheels in motion for a full convergence of super spies within the YRF spy universe.”
The advance booking for Tiger 3 began on Saturday, November 4th, and the number of tickets that have been sold already serves as a testament to the immense craze surrounding the spy thriller. Despite the limited availability of advance booking in select cities across the country, industry tracker Sacnilk reported that approximately 33,090 tickets have already been sold and the earnings of the film have crossed the Rs 1 crore mark. Sharing data from national multiplex chains, trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted on X, ” Tiger 3 advance bookings start on a thunderous note!” Earlier, Salman Khan shared insights into the film and emphasized that the action in Tiger 3 is raw and realistic. Tiger 3 releases on November 12th.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli scored his 49th ODI century in the World Cup match against South Africa at the Eden Gardens on Sunday, 5th November, equalling Sachin Tendulkar’s tally of ODI centuries. Virat achieved the milestone on his birthday, making the achievement even more special. Virat’s proud actor-wife Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram story to celebrate the knock. Sharing a photo of Virat, Anushka wrote – “‘Apne birthday pe khud ko present.” Earlier in the day, Anushka posted a birthday wish for Virat by revisiting an important achievement of the cricketer. She shared photos of them and wrote – “He is EXCEPTIONAL in every role in his life! But somehow continues to add more feathers to his glorious hat.”
Veteran actor Zeenat Aman is gearing up for her comeback to Hindi films with a movie titled, Bun Tikki, backed by renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra. This eagerly anticipated film will also feature another veteran actor, Shabana Azmi, in a prominent role, with actor Abhay Deol taking the lead. Manish took to Instagram to share the details of the film. He wrote – “ Both actors Shabanaji and Zeenatji, I have been a huge fan of….from their movies to their songs to their clothes. It gives me so much happiness that they are coming together after decades.” Bun Tikki is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Dinesh Malhotra, and Marijke Desouza under Manish Malhotra’s banner, Stage 5 Productions.
Meanwhile, on the second anniversary of Akshay Kumar’s blockbuster Sooryavanshi on Sunday, November 5th, filmmaker Rohit Shetty unveiled a new poster featuring the actor in his upcoming film, Singham Again. Both films are a part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. In the poster, Akshay, looking dapper in an all-black outfit, is shown jumping from a helicopter while holding guns in both hands. Sharing the poster, Rohit wrote – “In Singham Again, we are just doing what our fans want us to do! So here it is…Akshay Kumar and a helicopter! VEER SOORYAVANSHI joins the battle with Singham.” Actors Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh also reprised their roles of Singham and Simmba in the 2021 blockbuster.
Alia Bhatt recently recalled anecdotes from the National Awards ceremony where she was honoured with the Best Actor award for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi. The actor was in conversation at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit where she was asked about her ‘big moment’. She shared that while she was amazed by the event as a whole, there was a special moment between her and co-winner Kriti Sanon that left her emotional. Alia shared – “It was two young girls living a moment of dream and gratitude. We both had tears in our eyes and after a point we had to stop hugging as we would have started weeping.” Alia was accompanied by her husband Ranbir Kapoor at the event.
Lastly, actor Darsheel Safary, famously known for his portrayal of Ishaan Awasthi in Taare Zameen Par, is back with Hukus Bukus. The film in the young actor’s words is about ‘humanity’. As seen in the trailer, Darsheel plays an ardent Sachin Tendulkar fan, who finds himself against his religious father in a sensitive environment in Kashmir. Darsheel told indianexpress.com – “We often forget the power of humanity while talking about faiths and beliefs. Our film tries to show how everyone is human and there is a reason behind every action. My character Arjun is like a beam of innocence, who is filled with love and passion.”
