Let’s begin with our top story, Nora Fatehi has, over the decade, been linked to several men from the entertainment industry. In a chat with Connect FM Canada, she said her idea of a perfect man has changed over time. She said, “I am looking for a man who fears god and has a good heart and upbringing. Money and financial stability come after that. I need someone who is really good from the inside because there are really bad people running around, who are opportunists and use you.” Nora was earlier said to be dating actor Angad Bedi and then choreographer Terence Lewis. The actor-dancer was last seen in the comedy film Madgaon Express.
Aparshakti Khurana says it’s important to do films that help an actor steer clear of getting typecast and he is confident his next release Berlin is a step in the same direction. In a chat with PTI, Aparshakti said, “As an actor, it’s important to do films which are different from how you perceive them. The first eight-nine films of my career were back-to-back comedies. People had a goofball kind of positioning for me in their heads. Hence, something like Berlin, which is absolutely opposite to my overall on-screen and off-screen persona.” The actor made his film debut with 2016’s Dangal, plays a sign language expert named Pushkin in Berlin and underwent rigorous coaching to learn the language.
Moving on, Producer Ektaa Kapoor and filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee are currently gearing up for the release of the film Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2. The teaser for the movie has already been released, causing shockwaves with its brutally honest portrayal of the entertainment industry through the eyes of Kulu, the transgender protagonist. But who is playing Kulu? The makers have released a video featuring Bonita Rajpurohit (Kulu) and her untold story. In the video, Bonita can be seen narrating her story. The actor, who hails from Rajasthan, said that she was a part of a production company. Bonita said that she used to earn just around Rs 10k to 15k every month, which was not enough to sustain.
Nayanthara, already a superstar in South Indian cinema, made her highly anticipated Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the blockbuster hit of 2023, Jawan. In a chat with Hello magazine, Nayanthara opened up about working with Shahrukh Khan. She said, “Who is not his fan? We have all grown up watching his films and we all love them. Apart from being the huge star that he is, I really admire the fact that he respects women a lot.” Nayanthara has exciting projects in her pipeline, including Test and Mannangatti Since 1960. Test, directed by S Sashikanth, features R Madhavan and Siddharth in the lead roles alongside Nayanthara. Mannangatti Since 1960, helmed by YouTuber Dude Vicky, boasts a stellar cast.
Actors Siddharth and Aditi Rao Hydari recently got engaged in a private ceremony. At the Galatta Golden Stars event, Siddharth spilled details about the same. He said, “These questions on how long it took (for her to say yes) shouldn’t be asked. The end result must be either yes or no, pass or fail. I was worried whether it would be a yes, luckily I passed. The wedding date will depend on the elders (of the family) and what they say. It isn’t like a shooting date I can decide on, it’s a lifetime date. It will happen at the right time once they decide.” On the work front, Aditi is currently promoting her upcoming show Heeramandi.
Next up, Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan parted ways in 2021, after being married for 15 years, but continue to maintain a strong friendship and professional partnership. In a chat with Brut India, Kiran said, “Aamir and I lived together for about a year before we got married. At that time too, we knew that it’s a great institution if you can function as an individual as well as a couple within that institution.” Kiran also highlighted how a marriage can harm an individual where one is likely to feel trapped. Sharing her own experience and how she dealt with it, she said she “took my sweet time so I didn’t have any worry about it.
Actor Kriti Sanon, who was recently seen in the films Crew and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, said that it would be nicer if the people in the film industry supported each other genuinely. In a chat with Zoom TV, Kriti said, “We will be somewhere else if we start uniting and start supporting each other. Genuinely supporting and genuinely feeling good. Not doing it for the heck of it, just being there, clapping and applauding for each other. It’s just going to be much nicer, happier and a much more successful place.” Kriti said that when one watches something that really moves them, it actually makes a difference. Kriti will next be seen in Do Patti, with Kajol.
Lastly, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are gearing up for the release of their upcoming film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. In a chat with YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia’s podcast, The Ranveer Show, Akshay recalled the time he broke his back. He said, “I vividly remember the experience, as does my back. I suffered a broken back after lifting The Undertaker. I lifted him, I was mad. He was somewhere around 425 pounds or something and we went ahead and I decided that I will lift him.” Although the stunt took a toll on Akshay’s body, he maintained a positive attitude. As the anticipation builds for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, fans eagerly await its theatrical release this Friday, April 10th.
