CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The Charleston County Coroner has released the name of a man who died in a crash Saturday.
Terrance Wilson, 43, of Hollywood, died from injuries he sustained in the collision.
Deputies say the single-vehicle crash took place just after 3:30 a.m. Saturday along Highway 162.
Authorities responded to the intersection of the highway and Bock Road for a reported collision. Following an initial investigation, deputies determined the car was traveling west on that highway when officials say it left the road, became airborne and hit a large branch midair.
The car landed on a culvert, rolled over and landed upside-down in a ditch, ejecting Wilson from the vehicle.
Wilson was pronounced dead on the scene. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The Sheriff’s Office Traffic Services Unit is investigating the crash.
The Charleston County Coroner has not yet identified the victim.
