Ranveer Singh was the life of the party at Shah Rukh Khan’s recent birthday bash which was attended by many Bollywood celebrities. Ranveer, who has been an ardent admirer of SRK, turned DJ at the party and had everyone dancing to Shah Rukh’s most popular dance numbers like Zinda Banda and Chaleya.
Ranveer eventually stood on the table and dedicated the song Aana Mere Pyar Ko from Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa to his actor wife Deepika Padukone, who was dancing on the floor with other guests. She looked amused as Ranveer called out for her from the table.

Ranveer will soon be filling in Shah Rukh’s shoes as he takes on the Don franchise with Don 3. Shah Rukh played the lead role in Don and Don 2 but couldn’t be part of the third installment directed by Farhan Akhtar. Ranveer will be seen playing the notorious gangster in the film. Before Shah Rukh, Amitabh Bachchan played Don in the 1978 film.
Ranveer had written a emotional note when he was announced as the lead of the film. He had posted his childhood photograph and wrote in the caption, “Gosh! I’ve been dreaming about doing this for a very, very long time.” Explaining how SRK and Amitabh Bachchan played a pivotal role in inspiring him to become an actor and how their influence shaped his path, Ranveer said, “As a child I fell in love with the movies, and like the rest of us, watching and worshipping Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan – the two G.O.A.Ts of Hindi Cinema. I understand what a great responsibility it is to be a part of the ‘Don’ dynasty. I hope the audience gives me a chance and showers me with love, the way they have for numerous characters over the past so many years.”

He concluded, “My two supernovas, The Big B and SRK, I hope I can make you proud. And my beloved audience, as always, I promise you…that I will do my very best to entertain you…in and as…’Don.’”
Besides this, Ranveer will also be seen in Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty. The actor will resume his role from the film Simmba, as he shares screen with Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan and wife Deepika Padukone.
