Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal is unstoppable at the box-office and it has already minted Rs 360 crores worldwide. Starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, the film also features Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in pivotal roles. Now, actor Siddhant Karnick, who plays Ranbir’s brother-in-law in the film, has opened up about the actor’s professionalism and how he is completely own to earth.
In an interview with Filmy, Siddhant recalled the time they were shooting in Delhi with scorching heat. He said, “He (Ranbir) used to come on set ready; his lines would be completely sorted. We were shooting in this glass house where the scene was shot. We were shooting in Delhi, it was very hot and we were shooting in the Pataudi Palace in the glass house.”
Siddhant said it was really hot in the glass structure made for scenes, with intense arguments adding to the heat. To cool off, they’d take breaks with the air conditioner. After finishing scenes, Siddhant thought that Ranbir would go to their vanity to relax and chill. He continued, “But here, Ranbir was sitting right opposite behind the cameraman, giving me the cues in full energy. So he could get my reaction right. That is professionalism.”
The actor also praised Anil and his enthusiastic behaviour during the reading of the film. “He was always enthusiastic about this; then he would get into his own personal journey, his own relationship with Harshhvardhan. You know, he reflected on that, Ranbir and him built on their working relationship. It was such a wonderful moment for us outsiders. Both of them, their conversations were like an encyclopedia of the Hindi film industry.” Karnick also revealed that only Ranbir Kapoor was told the complete story of the film by Vanga. “Even Anil Kapoor wasn’t aware of it, made us all feel less bad,” he said.
