Shah Rukh Khan impressed all with his action avatar in the 2023 films, Pathaan and Jawan. Both movies received a thunderous response not just in India but across the globe. Now, with the US awards season around the corner, both films have bagged nominations in the international stunt awards.
The nominations for Vulture’s 2023 Annual Stunt Awards were announced on Thursday. Jawan and Pathaan got nominated along with Hollywood biggies like Keanu Reeves’ John Wick 4 and Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning. Atlee’s Jawan was nominated in three categories: Best Vehicular Stunt, Best Stunt in an Action Film (both for the highway chase sequence), and Best Overall Action Film.
Pathaan, helmed by Siddharth Anand and also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in pivotal roles, got nominated for Best Aerial Stunt (the Jet-Pack Fight) and Best Overall Action Film.

Director Siddharth Anand had earlier revealed that the high-speed bike chase sequence was shot on the frozen Lake Baikal in Siberia and had said that to film the “high-risk sequence”, every piece of equipment had to be shipped from Moscow–almost about 2000 kilometres away from where the team was shooting– a “huge task which the production very smoothly handled.”
