Indian benchmark indices opened higher on Wednesday, led by energy stocks on a fall in crude oil prices, while IT stocks rebounded from a recent drop. The blue chip NSE Nifty 50 index was up 0.34 per cent to 22,078.95, while the BSE Sensex rose 0.28 per cent to 72,672.20.
International crude oil price slipped after Ukrainian drone attacks damaged Russia oil infrastructure. Brent crude oil is trading 0.74 points, or 0.86 per cent at $85.51 a barrel while WTI price is trading 0.64 points, or 0.78 per cent lower at $80.98 a barrel.
Share Market Live Updates: Adani Green Energy said it has operationalized a 180-MW solar power plant at Devikot in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
The plant has a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), India’s largest renewable energy company said in a statement.
Shares of Adani Green are trading are 9.00 points, or 0.48 per cent higher at Rs 1,868.65.
