Bollywood veteran Suresh Oberoi, essaying the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s grandfather in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s recent hit, Animal, shared insights into his work experience with Ranbir and praised the actor’s upbringing by late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. The film, creating a sensation at the box office, is poised to surpass the Rs 500 crore mark in India and the Rs 800 crore mark globally.
In a conversation on the YouTube channel Lehren Retro, Suresh Oberoi lauded Ranbir Kapoor, describing him as a wonderful person and actor with exemplary behaviour. He said, “Ranbir is a wonderful guy and a wonderful actor and so very well-behaved. He has been given good values by Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. I sent a message to Neetu saying, ‘Apne bahut aache sanskar diye hai apne bete ko (You have given good values to your son).’ He knows exactly how to behave, like a dignified person.”
Earlier, Shakti Kapoor, who played a significant role in Animal, also praised the film and Ranbir Kapoor. In an interview with E Times, Shakti Kapoor hailed Ranbir as “one of the best actors in the industry” and expressed a wish that the late Rishi Kapoor could witness his son’s success.
Ranbir, who portrayed a distinct character in Animal, dedicated considerable effort to the film. Amidst the shooting of Animal. he welcomed his daughter Raha with wife Alia Bhatt. The actor’s commitment was evident when, just hours after bringing Raha home from the hospital, he returned to the set of Animal.
In a recent chat with YouTuber Vanshaj Saxena, Animal actor KP Singh said that he met Ranbir for the first time on the day he brought Raha home. “He had just dropped off Raha from the hospital at his house and came to the set straight away. That was the first day when Raha went home. I think at 11 am she got discharged and at 3 pm, he was on the set,” he said.
