Vivek Oberoi started his Bollywood journey with hits like Company, Saathiya and Yuva, among others. However, his luck took a turn, and his films didn’t perform as well at the box office. Now, he’s getting ready for the release of the show ‘Indian Police Force,’ marking Rohit Shetty’s digital debut. Looking back at tough times, Vivek has opened up about dealing with stress and depression.
In an interview with Mirchi Plus, Vivek was asked, “What advice would you give ‘young Vivek Oberoi’”? The actor replied, “My advice to him would be ‘Don’t take stress about anything and when you feel that it is the end of the world, it is not because everything is transient. Nothing is permanent. Today there is success, tomorrow it is gone. Chill, relax and enjoy.”
He continued, “I have wasted so much time taking stress and pressure. I slipped into depression and my mental health was very bad at that time when I dealt with a lot of issues. For the first time when people told me ‘Bro, your career is over,’ I was in very much stress. I thought I had just started, how can it end.” (Sic)

The actor said that he has now stopped taking stress and added, “But with god’s grace, even today, the work I get is more than the work I am able to do. I have to reject things because sometimes it doesn’t suit me as an actor or it doesn’t challenge me as an actor.”
Indian Police Force also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty in pivotal roles. The show will release on Amazon Prime on January 19th.
